18th Annual Community Appreciation Event

Last year may have been our best year yet! Our 18th annual Community Appreciation was filled with nutcrackers, zumba, fantastic door prizes, and great presentations about personal wellness!

We want to extend a sincere thank you to the businesses and organizations that donated to CSDHH to make this event a success! We appreciate your enduring support!

Thank you to all the community members who came to the decorating party and who helped to bring our vision to life! The party would not have been as colorful or festive without your creativity!

Thank you to Life Community Church in Jamestown, NC for their partnership to host this event in their space!

NC Folk Festival

2018 was a fantastic kick of the North Carolina Folk Festival! In partnership with the City of Greensboro, CSDHH provided American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting services to 13 total performances over the 3 day festival. We value communication and equal access for all NC Folk Festival attendees! Be seeing you next September!

CSDHH is grateful to Latoya Jordan for dedicating her personal time and energy towards this same goal of equal access! We appreciate you serving as the liaison between event planners and CSDHH to make this event a positive experience for all! Thank you for volunteering your talents and for coordinating this event as an experiential learning opportunity for ten interpreter preparation students! Cheers!

Thank you to all UNC Greensboro interpreter preparation students, CSDHH staff, and professional interpreters for your collaboration as well! We could not have made it possible without you and your dedication to the community!

2018 The Human Race

Thank you for a record breaking year! Together we raised $2,250.00 to fund community access services for individuals who are Deaf, Deaf Blind, Hard of Hearing, and Late Deafened at local, public events. We had over 33 walkers and runners represent team CSDHH on April 14th. Thank you to everyone who volunteered with our team to provide guidance, communication access, take photos, and be the cheerleaders at the finish line! We could not make this fundraising goal possible without the love and dedication from our community!
