  1. How do I register for classes?
    • Right now, no specific class is being offered. Please fill out this form to show your interest, as this will help is in deciding about future classes
  2. Are children allowed to take these classes?
    • No, these classes are designed for adults.
      • Children under the age of 12 are not able to take these classes
      • Children age 12-15 must attend with an adult who is also signed-up for the same class, and must have filled out the Special Registration Form with parental permission. Contact classes@csdhh.org for more info.
  3. If we have parental permission, can I just drop my 12-15 year old off for class?
    • No, even with the Special Registration Form filled out, students age 12-15 must attend classes with an adult who is also signed-up for class.
  4. What happens in the event of inclement weather?
    • CSDHH will try to contact students with as much warning as possible if a class meeting will be cancelled due to weather. Feel free to contact the office if you're ever unsure, 336-275-8878 or classes@csdhh.org.
  5. What happens if a conflict occurs and I cannot attend the class?
    • Full refunds will be given to students who cancel at least 5 business days prior to the first day of class; No refunds will be given after that point.
    • After that point, students may choose to attend classes or defer their registration to a later session
  6. How do I know if a spot has been reserved in the class?
    • As registrations are received in office, we will email to let you know we have received your registration.
    • If you register online, Eventbrite should email you to confirm that your registration was processed.
    • If classes do not reach the minimum required to have class, we will email or phone to let students know

  7. Can I pay in cash when registering for the class?
    • No, if you're mailing/dropping-off your registration, checks or money orders (made out to 'CSDHH' are accepted). If you're registering online, you can use a debit/credit card.
  8. Are these classes for interpreters?
    • No, these classes are designed to provide basic conversational skills and vocabulary.

  10. Can I bring a friend/family member/partner with me to class?
    • Unfortunately, space in our classes is very limited and we are unable to accommodate guests who are not registered for class.
  11. I am taking these classes for my job. How do I document proof of course completion?
    • While we do not offer training for interpreters nor provide CEUs or other credits, we do provide a certificate of completion for classes as proof of attendance.
