DSDHH Director Tony Davis has been traveling the state listening to community concerns about communication barriers. These Community Conversations are confidential, and are a way for DSDHH to hear from the community and improve in the future.
This session is specifically to learn more about accessibility for the DeafBlind community. They want to hear directly from consumers, family members, and advocates.
ASL interpreters and CART will be provided; you can request additional accommodations when you RSVP.
They are hosting an event in Greensboro this December. It will be on Monday, December 7, from 9:30am–12:30pm, at the American Red Cross office on Yanceyville St. in Greensboro.
If you'd like to attend, RSVP is required. You can email Jennifer.Cook@dhhs.nc.gov, or call 743-867-0621. Or, you'll see on the flyer that there is a QR code that you can scan to RSVP. The deadline is November 23rd. After that, you may still be able to register, depending on space.
We hope to see you there, so that your voice can be heard! We encourage you to come and share your thoughts with DSDHH.
