NC School for the Deaf is a K-12 accredited day and residential school, serving the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students in North Carolina.
The Native American Experiential Program is a two week summer adventure. Most activities will take place outside, weather permitting. Activities include traditional Native American games, stories and art. Participants will learn Early Native American living skills such as fire building, cooking, horseback riding, and shelter construction. The program will end with our own Pow-Wow.
Registration is FREE for students with a documented hearing loss. Also welcome are school age children of Deaf adults, Interpreters, or Teachers of the Deaf and siblings of Deaf students. NCSD’s goal is to strengthen language and communication.
