Just as a flower needs sunlight, water, and soil to thrive, we all need a nurturing environment and supportive relationships to grow. The Community Appreciation Event, sponsored by Communication Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CSDHH) and the NC Division of Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DSDHH), provides just that — a space for connection, learning, and personal growth.

For 21 years, 200–250 Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind individuals from across North Carolina have gathered to celebrate community, exchange resources, and support one another. Each year’s event features educational presentations designed around a central theme.

This year, our theme is “Live in Full Bloom: Fostering Self-Care and Growth.” Join us on Thursday, December 5th, from 5:00–7:30 PM to explore ways to nurture your well-being, expand your skills, and flourish in everyday life.

The evening will include presentations from local experts, a catered dinner, and exciting door prizes — all designed to help you grow and connect. Attendance is free, but space is limited. Registration will open soon, so RSVP early to secure your spot and bloom with us!
