CSDHH is offering Sign Language Classes!
There are 2 separate sessions
Mondays, June 6-August 1, 2011, we are offering level 1, 2, & 3 classes from 6-8pm.
Thursdays, June 9-July 28, 2011, we are offering level 1 & 2 classes from 6-8pm.
Registration fees:
$50 if paid by May 23, 2011
$60 if paid by May 31, 2011
$80 if paid by June 6, 2011

The University of Washington is sponsoring the 5th Summer Academy for Advancing Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Computing in 2011.
Who: The Summer Academy seeks to find the top 10 Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, 16 and over, who excel in and enjoy math, science and/or computing.
What: Tuition, room & board, and round-trip transportation will be provided at no cost to selected applicants.

40th Birthday Celebration WNCC UMC Deaf Ministry
What: Celebrating 40 years of Deaf Ministry in the Western NC Conference of the United Methodist Church. Come enjoy the breathtaking sites in the NC mountains - golf, hike, sightsee and relax! There will be opportunities to attend keynote speakers, workshops and other events. Guest speakers include the following but are not limited to: Bishop Peggy Johnson, Rev. Leo Yates, Rev. Dr. Tom Hudspeth and Dee Mathis. Workshops include but are not limited to Hard of Hearing and Late Deafen issues, Mental health and the Deaf community, and Missions to Haiti, Korea, and Africa. There will also be a celebratory banquet on Saturday night!

What: We are looking for deaf and hard of hearing children, teens and adults to show us their talent on stage!
