Join CSDHH in                     The Human Race!

Similar to the nostalgia of strolling down your old family neighborhood, the team at Communication Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CSDHH) aims to create the same comforts of a close-knit community through communication access services for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Deaf Blind and Late Deafened. One way we help build community is by partnering with local groups and public event planners to sponsor communication access services such as Sign Language Interpreting, Communication Access Real-Time (CART) services, Deaf Blind Support Service Providers, and more!

For the past ten years, CSDHH has participated in an annual fundraising event called The Human Race. Each year, CSDHH collects donations to help fill a program need or a community need. This year, all money collected from The Human race will be used to create a fund for communication access services at local, public community events. Some examples of these open community events include, but are not limited to:

  • Green Queen Bingo

  • The National Folk Festival

  • Greensboro Pride

  • El Deafo Book Reading with Author Cece Bell

  • The Human Race

  • Deaf Awareness Day (Annual event that takes place at a Greensboro Grasshoppers game)
