Calling all superheroes and young readers!

 You are cordially invited to a special Friends and Families Event at Scuppernong Books on Thursday, November 10th. Join us for your chance to meet author/illustrator Cece Bell and read her newest book El Deafo. You know...going to school and making new friends can be tough. But going to school while wearing a bulky hearing aid strapped to your chest? Now that requires superpowers! Gather around as Cece Bell reads El Deafo, shares about her experiences growing up with hearing loss and brings out your inner superhero! 

Attendance:
Due to limited seating, reservations are required in advance! To save your seat, click here to sign up at our El Deafo Eventbrite page. Please be sure to RSVP EACH child and adult who plans to attend. 

Parking: 
Greene Street Deck, 211 S. Greene St. Greensboro, NC 27401
The Greene Street parking deck is located at the corner of S. Greene and W. Washington streets. There is one entrance on Greene Street, one entrance on Washington Street, and two exits on Greene Street. Parking is free after 6 pm.

Schedule at a Glance:
6:00 pm Refreshments & Snacks- Cold/hot sandwiches, salads and beverages will be available at the Scuppernong Books Cafe located inside the store. Click here to view their menu items. Refreshments will be free ONLY to children and young adults (ages 15 and under) who have RSVP'd.
